EXECUTIVE INFORMATION OFFICER

(OPEN TO PUBLIC COMPETITION)

Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is _the _national charity supporting over

the country who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones such as
children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail
older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with
chronic illnesses or addiction. We provide a range of supports and
services for family carers nationally from our local support centres.
We initially proposed the concept of a Carers Guarantee to both the
government and the HSE in **Apply on the website**. The principle was
to tackle the postcode lottery by providing a core offering of
supports and services to family carers across Ireland, regardless of
where they live. The **Apply on the website** Programme for Government
committed to delivering this guarantee and we recently received
confirmation that we will receive a (recurring) increase in our annual
funding to enable us to implement an evidence-based framework of
support for family carers throughout the country.

The Executive Information Officer is an integral part of the Carer
Supports team and will involve working closely with our Head of Carer
Supports and our National and Regional Leadership teams to support the
smooth management of our department, with a particular focus on our
reporting and accountability structures and information management and
analytic systems.

ROLE CRITERIA: The successful candidate should possess the following
ESSENTIAL criteria.

* Must be educated to Leaving Cert level (or equivalent) and pursued
further studies in Office Administration, Business or another relevant
discipline.
* At least?3 years? experience working within a busy office
environment is essential.
* Strong IT aptitude essential with advanced MS Office skills,
especially in MS Word and MS Excel.
* Experience with client relationship management systems.
* Experience of liaising with Senior Management is required.
* Has previously worked in a highly confidential environment.
* Fluency in English, written and verbal.
* Full drivers licence with access to own vehicle.
* Excellent communicator.
* Flexibility in attitude and approach to the job.
* An ability to multitask and have excellent attention to detail.
* Exceptional organisation and planning skills with the ability to
manage multiple projects to deadlines and keep all stakeholders
informed.
* Excellent time management is essential.
* Willingness to travel when required.
* Excellent people skills with an ability to work well with others.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: **Apply on the website**-month fixed term contract
(**Apply on the website** hours per week; Monday - Friday). The
successful candidate will be based out of Tullamore/Midlands with the
opportunity for hybrid working. Flexibility to travel to meetings as
required is essential. The remuneration for this role includes an

year.
