JOB TITLE: Store Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Store Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Counter Staff.

OVERALL PURPOSES OF THE ROLE:

Mission and Policies:

To assist the Store Manager in all areas of management and to deputise in their absence.

Comply with and actively promote the company’s Mission, Vision and Values at all times and ensure they are consistently and continuously passed on to all staff members and customers in words, actions and deeds.

Act as a role model while providing guidance and development to other staff members.

Report to Store Manager in an efficient, professional and timely manner.

Ability to implement change quickly and effectively within your store / team when required.

Present oneself professionally and in accordance with the company’s uniform policy and ensure staff adhere to this policy at all times.
Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
Ensure staff adhere to the company’s meals and breaks policy.
Deal quickly and efficiently with any poor performance issues that may arise within your team of staff.
Comply with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures and ensure staff members are doing so.
Comply with and actively promote the Company’s Policies and Procedures on all aspects of Equal Opportunities.

Customer Service:

Provide outstanding customer service, welcoming and interacting with every customer, and directing other staff members to do the same on a continuous basis.

Respond to customer needs/ complaints / feedback, engaging with every customer while directing other staff members to do the same.
Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, toilet standards, furniture, glassware, dinnerware and utensil quality, monitoring food presentation and service.


Operations and Profitability:
Have knowledge of all products we sell and suggestively up-sell to assist meeting sales targets while directing other staff members to do the same.
Follow sandwich / food agreed preparation procedures and direct other staff to do the same within the food safety guidelines.
Stock monitoring, rotating of ingredients or items for sale, ensuring use by dates are adhered to.
Keep the store / kitchen / toilets / shopfront clean and tidy at all times ensuring that toilet / store cleaning check lists are signed, checked and adhered to.
Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits.
Prepare ground beverages to company standards and direct others to do so efficiently and consistently.
Responsibility to learn all aspects of becoming a barista and developing a passion for coffee, and to pass this on to staff members and encourage their development.
Controls costs and maximise profitability by reviewing order quantities, portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of preparation.
Maximize labour to meet the target wage percentage whilst encouraging staff performance levels.
Other duties / tasks as assigned.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
People Management, Foster Teamwork, Giving Feedback, Customer Service, Adherence to Budgets/Targets, Self-Motivated, Multi-tasking, Resolving Conflict, Verbal Communication.

ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel to and manage in other stores within the Company as and when requested to cover sick/holiday leave/training.
