POSITION: CONTENT CREATOR

YOUNG SOCIAL INNOVATORS

Young Social Innovators (YSI) is a not-for-profit education body which
provides transformative innovation processes and programmes for
students, primarily at post primary level in Ireland. Through YSI,
educators, schools and communities facilitate and support youth-led
social innovation, which benefits the development of youth and
communities. This is education which empowers young people,
strengthens youth voice and participation, and develops active local
and global citizens for today and the future.

THE OPPORTUNITY

YSI is looking for a content creator who will help develop and produce
high quality and engaging content to support brand awareness and
communicate the work and impact of the organisation.

You will join a growing and dynamic team and contribute to building
the organisation?s internal communications capacity. You will have
experience in a busy and hands-on marketing and communications-based
role and have a demonstrated ability to create high quality collateral
including, but not limited to promotional brochures, eBooks, reports,
guides, marketing emails and advertorials, blog posts, press releases,
as well as the creation of visual content including graphics and
video.

As well as supporting the marketing of our programmes, courses and
trainings to schools and educators, you will also support YSI?s
programme and event delivery, teacher training and digital youth
engagement campaigns.

This is an exciting and busy role for someone in the early to
mid-stage of their communications career journey.

THE PERSON

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

* CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION: A design thinker with a flair for
translating ideas into creative and well-executed content pieces. A
creative communicator with the ability to share messaging in
interesting ways across multiple channels for a variety of
stakeholders.
* COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION: Excellent written, design,
presentation and verbal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with
colleagues across the organisation and with external
agencies/suppliers.
* MOTIVATION AND VERSATILITY: A motivated self-starter who
contributes to a positive work culture and environment with an
adaptable attitude to work. Highly collaborative and open to
constructive feedback. Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple
projects and deadlines.

ADDITIONAL

* Excellent written communications skills with demonstrated ability
to produce well-crafted content for a variety of audiences.
* Strong background in conceptual and visual thinking.
* Proven ability to design, develop and publish content across the
digital spectrum.
* IT skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook as well as
Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Premier.

multi-platform content creation.
* Understanding of social media platforms including YouTube,
Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
* Experience in email marketing an advantage.
* Understanding and appreciation of the Irish education / not for
profit sector an advantage.
* Must provide portfolio.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

_WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA_

* Write and edit content for company website, blog and social media
channels.
* Create graphic, audio and video content for website and social
media channels.

_EVENTS AND ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGNS_

* Support digital campaign planning, design and implementation
including messaging, campaign asset design and digital outreach and
reporting.
* Support the design, promotion and delivery of in person and
virtual YSI events for educators and young people nationwide.

_MARKETING AND BRAND BUILDING_

* Write and produce traditional and digital marketing assets to
support school recruitment and partner development outreach.
* Write and distribute regular engaging e-news and quarterly
e-newsletter.
