The Loft (Local Outreach Family Therapies) is a community-based
project in Cabra which offers therapeutic support services in response
to individuals, family members and the community who have been
impacted by substance use, including alcohol. The Service supports the
provision of an integrated range of therapeutic interventions to meet
the diverse needs of our service users in an accountable, accessible
and equitable manner. The Loft delivers a holistic intervention
service in the Cabra Community to assist people to move away from
problem substance use and gain a better quality of life.

Reporting to the Team Leader, we are now looking to recruit a
full-time PROJECT WORKER / KEY WORKER to join our team. This
appointment will be a one-year fixed term contract. Remuneration will
be commensurate with HSE Project Worker Pay Scales. This is a newly
developed role. The successful candidate will engage with the local
community to identify community needs regarding problematic substance
and alcohol use to deliver evidence-based interventions and to act as
a key worker within the service.

The normal working week will be **Apply on the website** hours and the
post will require evening and some weekend work. The successful
candidate will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA/QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential

* Professional and recognised qualification in Addiction Studies,
Social Studies or Health Promotion
* A minimum of two years? relevant experience
* Recognised qualification and experience in keyworking, care
planning and case management
* Accreditation and experience using (CRA) Community Reinforcement
Approach would be desirable

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE

Essential

* Demonstrate an understanding of individual development, family
dynamics and the wider social contexts of substance use/mental health
issues and an understanding of and commitment to the principles of
reducing substance/alcohol related harm;
* Demonstrate research and evaluation skills and experience;
* Possess the ability to act on their own initiative within the
context of professional boundaries and accountability;
* At all times demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their
role with the team, service users and wider community
networks/agencies,
* Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
including report writing;
* Demonstrate and possess strong relationship building skills;
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
through courses, seminars and conferences;
* Demonstrate an ability and competence in the use of IT Systems,
including experience of working remotely using alternative formats
such as Zoom, video, phone;
* Demonstrate experience of and competence in care formal screening,
assessment, care planning, and case management with individuals across
the continuum of care;
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and listening
skills.
* Possess an understanding of the current National Drugs Strategy,
Substance Misuse Strategy and the National Drug Rehabilitation
Framework;

Desirable

* Recognised qualification in Community Development Studies;
* ACRA or CRAFT qualification;
* Experience in facilitating psychosocial therapeutic and
educational group work;
* Knowledge of the local area an advantage.
