COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Early Childhood Ireland is the leading children?s advocacy and

POSITION: Communications Specialist
REPORTS TO: Communications Manager
CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent
LOCATION: Our national office is based at Tallaght in south Dublin
MODEL OF WORKING: The organisation is operating a blended working
model for the foreseeable future, subject to review based on
organisational needs.

JOB PURPOSE

The Communications Specialist works closely within the Communications
team to support the organisation?s communications strategies, ensure
brand visibility, and manage online presence. The purpose of this role
is to support the Communications Manager and Director to deliver Early
Childhood Ireland?s ambitious communications strategy, adhering to
the organisation?s brand guidelines, vision and mission. The
Communications Specialist provides support to the whole organisation
and liaises directly with other teams on behalf of the Communications
team. They work to increase awareness of and appreciation for the
Early Childhood Ireland brand and the work we do to ensure that every
young child in Ireland is thriving and learning in quality, affordable
and sustainable settings.

The position is fast-paced and demanding, working across a range of
activities from planning and rolling out major campaigns and projects
to writing and editing content for members and stakeholders as well as
collaborating with suppliers, funders and corporate partners. The
Communications Specialist develops, proof-reads and edits all draft
communication materials, both internal and external, and is actively
involved in planning and executing a wide range of campaigns and
projects, such as Early Childhood Ireland?s National Pyjama Day
annual fundraiser and other key communications campaigns. The
Communications Specialist is a key member of the Communications team,
which supports the work of whole organisation.
