We are currently recruiting for a SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER based in our
GLENAGEARY?SERVICE IN CO. DUBLIN.

The role?available is?PART-TIME, **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE**.5?HOURS,
SPECIFIED PURPOSE CONTRACT.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential
rehabilitation services for people living with a brain injury in
Ireland.Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people
impacted by?brain injury to rebuild their lives!

The role of the Senior Social Worker is to provide a prompt and
quality social work service to clients of Acquired Brain Injury
Ireland along with their families/carers/significant others, working
as part of an inter-disciplinary team, within an interdisciplinary
framework and person-centred practice. The Senior Social Worker is
responsible for successful decision making within the role and for the
case work assigned.

This includes:

* Comprehensive social work assessment of family adjustment and
client/family practical and emotional needs
* To identify and facilitate areas for social work interventions.
* Accountable for the effective supervision and performance
management of any assigned basic grade staff
* To provide support to frontline service provision teams.
* Prepare and provide reports as required

ESSENTIAL:

* C.Q.S.W/N.Q.S.W or equivalent
* ?Registered with CORU
* Full driving licence
* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, of which 2
years should include working in the area of disability.
* A person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired
brain injury
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Must be able to
write and speak English to a high standard
* Good IT skills
* Experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting
* An ability to manage conflict and problem solve.

DESIRABLE:

* Previous experience of working in an area of neuro-rehabilitation
with the provision of community and residential services within a
biopsychosocial model would be a distinct advantage.
* Previous experience of working with autism and/or physical and
sensory disabilities would be an advantage.
