WE ARE NOW RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION

BUILDING SUPERVISOR FOR CND RESOURCE CENTRE.

CUMANN NA DAOINE ARE NOW RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF BUILDING
SUPERVISOR. THIS POST IS OFFERED AT **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS
WEEKLY, FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE YEAR SUBJECT TO
FUNDING.

JOB SPECIFICATION

* Ensure the appropriate opening and closing of the CnD building on a
daily basis. Co-ordinate the day to day running of the building
including the supervision of caretaking, cleaning and reception staff.
* Responsible for and agree the weekly work rota for front office
staff and care-takers (all those on employment support schemes) and
provide support when required.
* Ensure the building is operated to high standards, ensure timely
repairs/enhancements and oversee compliance with fire regulations,
health and safety standards for all. Ensure appropriate maintenance
contracts are in place and up to date.
* Responsible for & ensure First Aid training, CPR/Defib is
undertaken
* Ensure a close working relationship with the front office, &
finance dept regarding room rental bookings, policies, procedures and
that they are fully implemented
* Ensure on-going recruitment drive for volunteers and provide
support and supervision to volunteers/students across the
organisation.
* Ensure all office & building files are up to date & implemented
* In relation to CE, Tus and RSS carry out relevant interviews when
required.
* Attend staff liaison group meetings and management committee
meetings when requested.
* Co-operate and work in conjunction with all CnD staff.
* Represent CnD as appropriate and work to the highest professional
standards including courtesy to staff and visitors to the building,
* Ensure appropriate ICT systems are in place for the efficient
operation of CnD.
* All work to be carried out with the principles of equality and
social inclusion in mind.
* Carry out any duties assigned by the CnD management committee.
* Report directly to the Staff Liaison Sub Group and CnD Management
Committee
* High level of Confidently must be maintained at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

* Minimum of 2/3 years? experience in supervision and
administration
* Experience in the management of facilities
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a
team
* Excellent communication and engagement skills ? internally and
externally
* Experience of recruiting, supervising and motivating volunteers
* Good IT skills (Word, Power Point, Excel) and ability to
write/complete reports
* Ability to supervise clearly and supportively
* Experience of community/voluntary work environments and welcoming
of the public/service users and agency representatives
* Access to car and own clean driving license
* Willing to work flexible hours including evenings/Saturdays
