CUANLEE CLG IS A DOMESTIC ABUSE SUPPORT AGENCY WORKING WITH WOMEN AND
CHILDREN WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ABUSE.
IT PROVIDES CRISIS ACCOMMODATION AND OUTREACH COMMUNITY BASED
SUPPORTS. CUANLEE HAS EXPANDED ITS SERVICE TO MEET THE INCREASED
DEMAND FOR ACCOMMODATION, ADVOCACY, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT AND SUPPORT
OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS. WE ARE DELIGHTED TO BE IN A POSITION TO OFFER
THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES.

THE ORGANISATION

Cuanlee is a voluntary, not for profit organisation which was
established in **Apply on the website**. It provides accommodation and
support services for women and a childcare service for children
experiencing domestic violence and abuse. It provides support,
information and refuge accommodation **Apply on the website** days of
the year. The organisation has a resilient, flexible, creative and
highly skilled frontline staff team to deal with the varied and often
complex needs that families? present with.

The staff team provide a range of pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis
responses, that support women who wish to move on and live
independently, free from violence. Our professional staff are
available to support women and children during their stay. A
non-judgmental, open and welcoming service is available to all women
and children in Cuanlee.

The refuge provides safe and secure emergency accommodation. This is
short term and offers a high level of support. Emergency accommodation
can be provided for 6 women/families at any given time. The off-site
accommodation comprises of 5 apartments which is due to increase in
the coming months. A medium level of support is provided to women and
children accommodated in the apartments.

The outreach service offers support, safety planning, advocacy and
court preparation and accompaniment to women that require support, but
may not require accommodation at that time. A number of safety
measures are implemented which maximise the safety of women and
children, so that they can safely remain in the family home.

ABOUT THE ROLES: (SEE JOB SPECIFICATION ATTACHED FOR FURTHER

Cuanlee Refuge is currently recruiting 3 SOCIAL CARE WORKERS (**APPLY
ON THE WEBSITE**.6 HOURS). One of these posts is a 2 year fixed term
contract. These roles will play a key role in the provision of
accommodation and support to women and children that have experienced
domestic abuse. The post holders will be based primarily in the
refuge. This is based in Cork City centre. The roles will operate on a
rota basis, and comprises of a rolling 4 week shift working pattern.
This is based on 7 sleepover shifts over a 4 week period. A sleepover
shift is **Apply on the website**am ? midnight, midnight ? 7am
(sleepover in refuge) and 7am ? **Apply on the website**:**Apply on
the website**am. Premium payments are in operation for unsocial hours.

The SENIOR OUTREACH WORKER will be responsible for developing the
existing outreach service. The post holder will be based primarily in
the refuge but a lot of their work will be carried out in the local
community.

The ADMINISTRATOR (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS) post is a highly
versatile and key role within the service. The administrator will be
responsible for carrying out general administrative tasks and
supporting the Lead Manager and colleagues in any administrative
areas. They will use Information Technology on a daily basis, e.g.
word processing, spreadsheets, database, email and Salesforce. They
will carry out routine accounts work and approach their work in a
careful and methodical manner, displaying accuracy at all times.
