JOB TITLE INTERIM MANAGER EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATIONS SERVICES (EAS)
ATHLONE

LOCATION Athlone, Co Westmeath with flexibility

CONTRACT Fixed term (until the end of **Apply on the website**)

REPORTING TO Interim Joint Manager EAS Athlone and EAS Tullamore

JOB PURPOSE To lead and direct the EAS Athlone having regard for
Midlands Simon Community?s values and ethos.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* To commit to the objectives and ethos of Midlands Simon Community
with close alignment to its values.
* To manage daily operational duties in the EAS.
* To establish and maintain an effective system of communication
with the line manager
* To lead and support staff in a facilitative and empowering way.
* To monitor the implementation of best practice throughout the EAS.
* To remain informed of relevant developments in the homeless
sector.
* To ensure that all new referrals are responded to in line with EAS
policies.
* To ensure the roster is covered at all times.
* To manage and chair team meetings
* To be a point of contact for staff should they have a query
relating to Services Users.
* To ensure the relevant data on the Service is collected.
* To review and approve staff expenses.
* To attend as required any relevant meetings with service providers
?Represent the service at internal/external meetings as required.
* To liaise with line manager on all issues that need his support
and direction.
* To report critical issues to the line manager.
* To keep other managers up to date on issues relevant to on call.
* To participate in on call roster.
* To monitor and approve staff annual leave and any other requests.
* To work in the EAS Tullamore if required.
* Other duties as delegated.

HUMAN RESOURCES

* To assist in the recruitment, induction and on-going training,
support and direction of project workers.
* To provide monthly professional supervision to project workers.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

* To ensure that there is a system in the Service for the monitoring
and compliance of Health and Safety i.e. safety checks, training, fire
drills and working safely protocols.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EXPERIENCE

* **Apply on the website** years? experience working in a
management role in Social Services or similar environment (desirable)

QUALIFICATION

* Training and/or degree in Social Care or equivalent

* Ability to supervise and support staff
* Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

* Demonstrates discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent
with MSC?s standards, practices, policies and procedures
* A full clean driving licence (essential)
