In Sync Youth & Family Services is a dynamic voluntary organisation
dedicated to working with children, young people and their families in
their local communities. We are committed to their personal and social
development within their communities and the provision of quality
youth & family services through an integrated multi-disciplinary
approach in Kildare and West Wicklow.
The Naas Child and Family Project is part of In Sync Youth & Family
Services and is managed in partnership with the Child and Family
Agency (TUSLA). The project (NCFP) recognises that vulnerable, at-risk
children and families should be supported within their own community.
The project provides intensive therapeutic support to local families,
has a multi-disciplinary focus, and works collaboratively with other
agencies to achieve better outcomes for parents, children and
families.
These posts are focused on assessing the therapeutic needs of families
and responding to these needs by planning and providing a diverse
range of interventions and supports to both parents and children.
YOUR APPLICATION MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT YOU HAVE:
* a recognised third level qualification in one of the following:
Social Care; Social Work; Psychology; or other related discipline
* a minimum of 3 years? experience of working with parents,
children & families in a paid capacity.
* experience of assessing family needs and a knowledge of family
systems
* experience of planning and implementing interventions/supports in
partnership with parents and children, in particular brief
interventions.
The successful candidates will be employed by In Sync Youth & Family
Services as follows:
* POST 1: on a **Apply on the website**-month fixed-term contract,
including a 3-month probationary period, and
* POST 2: on a 6-month fixed term contract, including a 2-month
probationary period.
