Autosar Embedded Software Developer
A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards
electric autonomous vehicles.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a Chassis Joints & Fixings Engineer, that will be
responsible for the analysis and development of Chassis Joints,
Fixings and Component Interfaces in support of the Special Vehicle
Operations Cycle Plan.

Working closely with the CAE, CAD team and Component Delivery team you
will demonstrate the capacity and capability of the Chassis bolted
joints and interfaces using CAE based bolted joint tools and hand
calculations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

_RESPONSIBILITIES_

* Analysis and development of Chassis Joints, Fixings and Component
Interfaces

* Ensuring Designs meet the defined strength and durability standards

* Supporting Bench Testing of Bolted Joints and Interfaces including
Validation of suitable Torque specifications and achieved clamp loads

* Support Pre and Post Test Inspection of Engineering Test Vehicles
and review of Torque Check results

* Provide prototype and production vehicle build with Chassis Fixings
Support

* Support the development of our tools, techniques, requirements and
standards to keep Jaguar Land Rover in an industry-leading position
for our threaded joint technologies.

WHAT YOULL NEED

_YOU WILL_ be capable of delivering high-quality analysis through the
use of robust input data, appropriate modelling, analysis and
post-processing methods.

We are looking for an individual, who works independently, are
results-driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with
the ability to deliver in a demanding environment.

_YOU WILL_ possess industry experience in reporting analysis results
clearly and providing feedback and conclusions to component Lead
Engineers in a timely, efficient manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Experience using CAE tools for the design and analysis of bolted
joints

* Previous experience and background in solving complex technical
issues and challenges

* Experience of using CAE to meet defined performance and robustness
targets

* Knowledge of material properties, material selection and
manufacturing processes

* Proven ability to understand, interpret and communicate Analysis
results

Desirable:

* Previous experience within product engineering delivery departments

* Experience in the following software packages; BOLTCALC, Catia
(v5/V6), Abaqus CAE, Hyperworks

* Knowledge of automotive vehicle testing

* Knowledge of automotive chassis component rig testing

* Coding/Scripting experience

* Hands-on experience in manufacturing
