HOME VISITOR, PREPARING FOR LIFE PROGRAMME

(PART TIME 0.4 FTE/**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK)

The Home Visitor role is part of the Preparing for Life programme
coming to Athy Community FRC in **Apply on the website**, for an
initial 5 year duration. PFL works with families from pregnancy to
when the child starts school to help children achieve their full
potential. We work with families, health services, early years
education settings and schools. Athy Community FRC is committed to
implementing a strengths-based approach, which focuses on a
collaborative process between the individual and family supported by
our service and the Athy CFRC staff member who is supporting them,
allowing them to work together to achieve an outcome that emphasises
the persons? and family?s strengths and assets.

We currently wish to recruit a part-time Home Visitor to join the Athy
Community FRC team, for the roll out of our Preparing For Life
programme in Athy. Reporting to the FRC Manager, the Home Visitor will
work to a clearly outlined programme manual to support families, to
achieve improved school readiness, as well as improved physical,
psychological and emotional health and well-being.

Preparing for Life is an evidenced based, prevention and early
intervention project that originated in Darndale, North Dublin.
Following on from the success of the Preparing For Life programme
coming to county Kildare through Newbridge and Curragh FRC?s in
**Apply on the website**, Athy Community FRC is delighted to be in a
position to expand our services and bring the Preparing For Life
programme to Athy. It is expected that there will be continued close
collaboration with the other FRCs in the county, as well as with
Preparing For Life in North Dublin for the ongoing successful rollout
of this programme.

This is a fixed term contract of 5 years, subject to funding. Please
