Senior BMS Automation Engineer - Amgen - Dublin

Our Client is Amgen and the role will be based in their Dun Laoghaire plant. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.



Job Description

Amgen are building a new Biotech product formulation, syringe filling/inspection and syringe/vial packaging facility in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.

The candidate will act as an Automation Engineer for BMS and QBMS systems.

The individual will provide day to day technical leadership to the project team in all project phases (design, delivery, startup, commissioning, validation and operational support).

The individual will support the project manager to ensure the project budget, schedule and staffing is commensurate to enable the automation systems to attain the performance standards required to support the business objectives

In addition to leadership capabilities, candidates must have a working knowledge of the GAMP software development lifecycle.

Candidates will have experience on BMS/QBMS systems in cGMP regulated environments and will be knowledgeable regarding FDA cGxP and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and understand software system validation.

Experience with the Siemens Design BMS system is desirable.

Additional skill sets include:

- Ability to operate across functional boundaries, both internal and external.

- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimum direct supervision.

- Customer relationship management skills.

- Critical thinking skills.

- Strong technical and organisational communication, coordination, and meeting facilitation skills.

- Develop and present solutions to project management senior staff.

- Ensure compliance with practices, policies, procedures, legal requirements and goals of project sponsors and approved methodologies, develop supporting documentation.

- Anticipate, evaluate and resolve project issues, delays and problems by utilising technical and business expertise.

- In-depth experience as an Automation Engineer / BMS Engineer in controls and software

- Extensive BMS/QBMS programming and applications experience.

- Experience in BMS, VFDs, MCCs, with a robust experience & strong knowledge in HVAC system components.

- Sound knowledge in BMS control system parts & configuration.


Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

The successful candidate will have 5-10 years experience on BMS/QBMS or Automation systems in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.



Package:

Minimum 6 month contract

Rate ?50 - ?60 per hour
