LE CHEILE FRC MALLOW WISH TO RECRUIT A FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
(PART-TIME) FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and an
excellent team player that will complement the already existing team.

The successful candidate will work with the Manager and the existing
family support team so ensure that local families are supported and
encouraged to function more effectively and that the local community
is a good place for children to grow-up in.

ABOUT US:

Le Cheile Family Resource Centre Mallow is one of **Apply on the

Family Resource Centre programme, which is funded by The Child &
Family Agency, Tusla.

Le Cheile FRC began its journey in Mallow over **Apply on the
website** years ago and has a long proven track record in supporting
families, children and individuals in the greater North Cork area. The
services currently provided are:

* Community Health Project
* Community Referral Link Worker (Social Prescriber)
* Resettlement project supporting Resettled Syrian Refugees
* Literacy Support programme
* Counselling service including Play Therapy, Adolescent and Adult
counselling
* Tenancy Sustainment support
* Early Years Services from aged 6month to 6 years
* Family Supports: one to one and group supports including parenting
courses
* Parent & toddler Groups
* Individual Supports: Social Welfare applications, form filling
etc.
* Summer Camps
* Community Garden
* Support Groups
* Room Rentals for groups locally

ABOUT YOU:

The role of Family Support worker would require the following:

* Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of working with
vulnerable families & children
* Experience working in a busy team environment
* Experience in providing support, advice and guidance to families/
groups and children
* Managing a case load with complex needs
* Provide advice, support and guidance to parents to promote
positive care and parenting skills through a range of interventions,
programmes and support groups.
* Take an active role in the promotion and delivery of Meitheal for
children and families in the catchment area.
* Facilitation of group supports including: parent & toddlers
groups, parenting courses and one off events
* Excellent communications skills both orally & verbally
* Excellent time management skills to ensure all reporting
requirements are met
* Experience in working with a Voluntary Board of Directors.
