COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Applications are invited for the above Three Year Fixed Term Full Time
Contract from all suitably qualified individuals.

THE ORGANISATION:

Stewarts is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive
community-based services to people with an intellectual disability. We
support people with a wide range of support needs across residential
settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and
vocational training.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

The Communications Manager is a leadership role and is responsible for
proactive communication activity across the organisation. This
includes corporate communications such as Annual Reports and
departmental updates, communications to stakeholders regarding quality
improvements and initiatives, and all digital platforms /
communications to build cohesion within our Stewarts community and
integrate the wider community into Stewarts.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POST APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE THE
FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

* Bachelor?s degree in communications, PR, business management or
other relevant discipline is essential.
* Specialist qualification in communications, PR, business
management, digital communications, or relevant discipline desirable.
* A minimum of five years proven experience in a similar or aligned
business management role.
* Experience as primary spokesperson for an organisation, ideally
(though not essential) within the healthcare sector.
* Proven experience as brand curator, ideally with composing brand
guidelines and implementing brand consistency across large
organisations.
* Ability to produce excellent corporate collateral, good eye for
design.
* Proven excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
* Proven capability to write concisely and accurately, producing
accurate content at pace to ensure priority work is completed as
required.
* Strong political awareness understanding the governance landscape
in which the organisation operates and ability to engage and advocate
* Demonstrable ability to argue a case, to challenge and
constructively debate if required. To communicate persuasively and
engage on often complex issues with simplicity.
* Experienced in storytelling, with the proven ability to
successfully engage a range of audiences across a variety of
platforms.
* Experienced with curating digital channels, writing for the web,
issue management etc.
* Proven experience in crafting impactful written content.
* Experience in third party / agency management.
* Confident, experienced public speaker.

Salaries and increments are paid in accordance with DOH scales,
