_COMPLIANCE AND METRICS OFFICER_

POSITION: Compliance and Metrics Officer

OFFICE BASE: Dublin & Remote

REPORT TO: Director of Finance

OVERALL PURPOSE & LEVEL:

This new role will support The Wheel in ensuring it meets all its
legal, regulatory and good governance requirements, and will support
the organisation by reporting on key metrics across all programmes.
They will support the compliance function of the organisation in
Implementing policies and procedures, reviewing policies and
processes, and advising management on possible risks.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate to guarantee
that our business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal
and internal guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly-analytical, and
possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

The post holder will have an excellent working relationship with the
Director of Finance and the members of the Finance team, and will
assist in supporting the work of the other staff in The Wheel office.
They will provide the data and analysis for the various reporting
requirements of all The Wheel teams.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

_COMPLIANCE:_

* Work closely with Director of Finance and other managers to ensure
that all requirements of key funding contracts are met including:

* Funder?s reporting requirements;
* Funder's publicity requirements
* Statutory disclosures
* Key dates and milestones

* Responsible for compiling, updating and managing Wheel internal
policies per the policy schedule
* Liaising with colleagues regarding suitable versions of Wheel
policies for sharing;
* Updating and compiling annual evidence template for compliance
with Charities governance code
* Managing and updating board handbook and board materials including
any board and sub-committee on-line portal
* Updating Wheel?s risk register for presentation to
sub-committees and board
* Updating compliance with Companies Registration Office, Charities
Regulator and Registrar of Beneficial Ownership
* Assisting Director of Finance with preparation of Directors Report
for annual statutory accounts.
* With the Director of Finance, create and manage effective action
plans in response to any audit discoveries and compliance reviews.
* Review company procedures, practices, and documents to identify
possible weaknesses or risk.

_METRICS:_

* Working closely with programmes teams to develop, track and report
on suitable individual programme metrics;
* Working closely with IT Manager to manage, track and report on
data collected through Salesforce and other sources of information
* Develop a system for gathering all data key to reporting on
organisation indicators and reports for sub-committees and board
* Liaise with all colleagues who feed into data metrics to ensure
all information is stored in a uniform way for ease of reporting
* Prepare annual infographic and feed into annual impact report

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

_MINIMUM EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED_

* A 3 ? 5 years? proven experience in a compliance officer or
similar role
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
* Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively on one?s own initiative
* Ability to collate and interpret data, with close attention to
detail, and ability to effectively communicate that data to a variety
of stakeholders

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

This is a full-time permanent position with The Wheel. The Wheel has a
salary-band framework and a detailed Remuneration Policy and every

The annual gross salary for this role is in the range of ?**Apply on

experience of the person who occupies it, and will be decided
accordingly. This contract is for a **Apply on the website**-hour week
and salary is payable monthly in arrears.

The Wheel?s offices are located in Dublin 2. Due to the impacts of
Covid all staff currently work remotely and it is anticipated that
remote or blended working will continue to be offered to employees in
a post Covid work environment. This role will require travel and
attendance at meetings both in the office and on The Wheel?s behalf.
Travel outside of the office is reimbursed according to our expenses
policy. Additionally, the role may require participation in meetings
which can occur in the evenings and at weekends.
