ASSISTANT RESEARCHER ??(FULL TIME) WITH IRISH RURAL LINK.
The Assistant will have a particular responsibility in the area of
research for the National Rural Network. The Assistant Researcher will
work within the aims and objectives of the National Rural Network.
REPORTING TO: MANGER, National Rural Network
LOCATION: Moate, Co. Westmeath / Remotely
HOURS OF WORK: 5 days per week

DURATION OF JOB: Nine Month fixed term subject to review with 6-month
probation period.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Research and write up case studies under the theme of LEADER,
EIP-Agri, and Farm Viability.
* Create content for the National Rural Network?s dissemination
channels, including project website, e-bulletin and newsletter.
* Assisting the NRN Manager, in writing quarterly reports and
preparation of the Annual Report.
* Maintain NRN social media accounts.
* To engage in promoting the work of the National Rural Network.
* To assist where relevant in existing programmes within the NRN.
* To attend meetings and events as designated by the NRN Manager
* To carry out duties relevant to the position as may be assigned by
the Manager and research partners.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* A qualification in the area of rural development
* Proficient in writing case study material
* Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal.
* Collaborative, relationship-building approach to working with
colleagues within own and externally organisation
* Ability to balance multiple competing work demands, working to
tight deadlines
