POSITION TITLE: HEAD OF EDUCATION, TRAINING & E-MENTAL HEALTH

REPORTS TO: DEPUTY CEO

LOCATION: HEAD OFFICE (DUN LAOGHAIRE, CO. DUBLIN)

Mental Health Ireland (MHI) is a national voluntary organisation with
a network of Mental Health Associations (MHAs) active throughout the
country. Mental Health Ireland aims to promote positive mental health
through education, training and awareness raising and to support
persons who experience mental health difficulties, their families and
significant others through the activities of Mental Health
Associations? and national advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY

As Head of Education, Training & E-Mental Health you will be
responsible for the development and management of Mental Health
Ireland?s (MHI)?s education and training programmes and resources.
You will be required to develop and enhance the digital innovations
and technology learning initiatives currently in place in MHI.

You will work with the MHI Development Officers and with the wider MHI
team to inform MHI?s overall digital development. Your work will
also involve engaging with the many Mental Health Associations (MHA)s
across the country to support their growth in the online space

The Head of Education, Training & E-Mental Health will work with our
Head Office Team, Partners, MHA Volunteers and fellow NGOs around the
country on training initiatives for specific key groups across the
life stages and identified settings. You will manage MHI?s _Tony
Leahy Scholarship Programme _and develop MHI?s relationship with
academic partners with a view to introducing new accredited and CPD
endorsed educational programmes across the higher education arena.

THE PERSON

We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic, ambitious and full of
ideas. A person who is not afraid of getting involved at all levels of
the role in order to deliver on the MHI?s goals in the area of
education and training.

The successful candidate should ideally have strong management and
leadership skills, experience in training, adult education, digital
innovation, web development and co-production with skills in specific
areas including project management, training development, web
development, resource development, adult education and design.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

You will be based at MHI?s Head Office in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
This post is offered on a two year fixed term, fixed purpose contract
with the potential to extend beyond this term. The position is based
on a 5-day week (**Apply on the website** hours), exclusive of lunch
hours. There is provision for some working from home in the present
pandemic circumstances. The role demands flexible working hours and
working out of office hours from time to time. Garda clearance will be
required.
