JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS PAYROLL MANAGER
Location: CIDP
Contract duration: Permanent
Reports to: HR and Governance Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
_IT SYSTEM_
* Lead a project to identify and source suitable technology for a
payroll system and an overall IT system to support all the operational
functions of CIDP
* Ensure a robust IT system is put in place that adheres to Data
Protection regulations
* Put together a business case for the optimum solutions which will
then be implemented by the post holder and rolled out in a timely
fashion mentoring staff on use of new or updated software.
* As part of any evaluation process ensure current system is
assessed
* Implementation and management of the new system
* Gather functional and business specifications required of an IT
system and incorporate these in an assessment tool for any future
system.
_PAYROLL_
* Manage the end to end payroll process for the delivery of
processing file to Finance
* Updating and improving processes while being involved in system
improvements/implementation across the payroll function
* Dealing with payroll queries from Team Leaders as they arise
* Training and mentoring of middle management team on payroll
systems
* Liaising with HR and Finance to ensure the accurate and timely
execution of payroll activities
* Maintaining internal controls relating to payroll practices and
records and monitor these on a continuing basis
* Developing, implementing and updating payroll procedures necessary
to comply with relevant policies and regulations
KEY REQUIREMENTS_:_
* Excellent working knowledge of TAS, Micro pay, ROS and Microsoft
Excel and an understanding of SORP and FRS accounting
* Strong analytical and technical skills
* Excellent communicator
* Strong financial controls ethos
* Experience of working as part of a team in a management role.
* An ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines with
attention to detail
* Experience of evaluating technology systems would be desirable
