Make-A-Wish Ireland is hiring a Fundraising Officer to join our team,
with specific responsibility for growing fundraising events in the
community including challenges/marathons. They will also manage
existing events and projects for Make-A-Wish, and our national flag
campaign.

The Fundraising Officer will complement and collaborate with other
members of the fundraising team to ensure maximum income generation
for Corporate, Schools, Major Events and Individual Giving.

Salary depends on previous experience. Full clean driving licence
essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* To identify & secure new and innovative fundraising opportunities
for Make-A-Wish
* To support community fundraisers to ensure they reach their
maximum potential
* To establish new relationships through networking and business
development
* To deliver a stewardship programme for all community fundraisers
to ensure maximum donor retention for both new and existing donors
* Work with the wider fundraising team to develop and manage
existing key projects such as national flag campaigns, to ensure these
campaigns are run effectively and are well planned and supported
* To contribute to and deliver against annual budgets, targets and
plans, working alongside the Head of Fundraising
* To attend local, regional and national fundraising activities and
events
* To assist in the management of media platforms such as Facebook,
Instagram, and Twitter
* Update & Maintain CRM (Salesforce) with accurate and timely
information.
* To undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned
from time to time in consultation with the Head of Fundraising,
Marketing & Communications

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

* Minimum of 3 years? experience working in sales/business
development/account management (experience within the charity sector
is an advantage)
* Demonstrable network of contacts/leads
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to ask, negotiate and influence
* Computer literate, highly numerate with excellent writing and
presentation skills
* Demonstrable experience in working to and achieving targets
* Fluent in English

KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES:

* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
* Strong communicator both on the phone and in person
* The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* A full driving licence and access to a car as this position
requires some travel
* Target driven & focused on results

volunteer support for wishes, one-off donations
* To deliver a stewardship programme for all corporate partners to
ensure maximum donor retention for both new and existing partners
* To support the promotion of activations/events
* To implement corporate plans and ensure our corporates have all
the materials they need
* To work cross functionally to maximise leads
* To develop content for our website and engaging with our audiences
through Twitter, Email marketing, Facebook and other social media
networks
* To assist in the management of media platforms such as Facebook,
