LOCATION: The post is based in the DEBRA Ireland office at Butterfly
Cottage, 8 Clanwilliam Terrace, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2 with the
possibility of working remotely where practicable.

TRAVEL: There may be an occasional need to travel to families living
with EB around Ireland as part of the role.

PATIENT CARE ADMINISTRATOR

The post of Patient Care Administrator will become an integral part of
the family support team, helping to provide support to families living
with EB.

ROLE & DUTIES

WILL INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED) TO THE FOLLOWING:

* To be a voice for and a support person to those affected by EB
* To support the Family Support Team (FST) in providing essential
support to families living with EB
* To build a relationship with families living with EB and
occasionally visit them in their home if needed
* To help facilitate peer support groups
* To facilitate families accessing respite when needed
* Inform service users of their entitlements
* To assist families living with EB in accessing services within the
community
* To manage internal data base making sure it?s up to date with
all relevant data
* To manage all correspondence both electronically and by post to
families, on behalf of Family Support Team
* Dispatch mass email/text communications to service users
* To provide content for Blogs and Social Media in consultation with
FST
* To provide information and content support the fundraising
department, in consultation with FST
* Process all wellbeing grants to families
* To work with other staff in applying for grants if needed
* Support family support team staff with event/campaigns throughout
the year
* Attend all family events as required
* To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required to
fulfil the duties of this post.

Guidelines.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

_ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:_

* Experience of working in an administrative support role.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage users,
carers and staff in other agencies.
* A self-starter who can embrace both working on their own
initiative and as a team player.
* Conscientious with exceptional attention to detail.
* Administrative skills with strong computer skills.
* Must have a clean full driving licence.

_DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:_

* Database experience training would be an advantage but training
will be provided of our internal system.
* Experience or knowledge of working with people with a physical
disability.
* Experience of working in the charity sector.
* Most of all, passionate about fighting EB!
