COUNSELLOR ? ADDICTION
Coolmine is a leading drug and alcohol treatment centre providing
community, day and residential services to men and women with
problematic substance use and their families in Ireland since **Apply

fulfilled and productive life. Coolmine, in conjunction with the Cork
& Kerry Local Drug and Alcohol Task Forces, has a vacancy for an
Addiction Counsellor. The post holder will be located in Kerry and
will be required to work in any service area such as Tralee, Listowel,
Kilarney, Kilorglen.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior HSE Addiction
Counsellor and will be based in Kerry with a requirement to travel in
the area.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The post holder will be responsible to the Senior HSE Addiction
Counsellor as head of discipline in the Programme Area accounting for
operational and professional practice and clinical governance and also
report to Coolmine?s Continuing Care Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE POST:
* To engage in therapeutic relationships with Service Users to assist
in the management of Substance use and related issues.
* The post holder will provide individual and group counselling in
community care settings of the Addiction Service.
* The post holder will work with other members of multidisciplinary
care teams to provide a person centred service.
