PERSONAL ASSISTANT
PERSONAL ASSISTANT required to enable a man, who has acquired a spinal
cord injury, to live life to the full, as independently and actively
as possible, living in his own home with his wife.
LOCATION: Tinahely / Aughrim, Co. Wicklow
DUTIES would include all aspects of personal care, assistance with
eating and drinking, domestic duties, assistance using computer and
conducting research on Internet, assistance with physiotherapy
sessions, assistance with social outings and activities.
Part Time positions available, day and late evening shifts, week and
weekend work.
We are looking for bright, open and honest personal assistants, with a
flexible attitude to work, a good sense of humour, a positive work
ethic and a willingness to be part of a close working team.
There will be prospects to develop skills through training and
opportunities to travel with the family.
QUALITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
* A full Clean Driving Licence essential.
* FETAC Level 5 in Social Care or Caring industry or equivalent
experience
* Patient Handling experience / qualifications essential
* An understanding of disability and the Independent Living movement
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Flexibility
* Garda Vetting must be completed
