The Rutland Centre is a residential abstinence-based addiction
treatment service.
We currently have a vacancy for a full-time night nurse at our centre
in Knocklyon, Dublin **Apply on the website**.
THE ROLE
* **Apply on the website** shifts per month (roster agreed and issued
one month in advance)
* Night duty, lone working, waking shift
* Hourly rate negotiable, premiums payable
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* On the live register of An Bord Altranais, NMBI or other
disciplines with relevance
* Experience of working with people with a range of needs to include
behaviours of concern related to addiction or specific substance abuse
* Competent in the drawing of blood samples
* Experience in and commitment to client centred care
* Willingness to undertake continuous professional development and
training relevant to the role.
* Previous relevant experience
* Excellent communication
* Excellent IT skills
The successful candidates will act as a clinical support resource
carrying out clinical interventions where required and ensuring
compliance with evidence-based practice in areas such as infection
control, medication management and risk management. Candidates will
also coordinate and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure
delivery of the highest quality treatment program to all service
users.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience working in a residential addiction treatment service
and/or
* Experience working in a drug and alcohol day service and/or
* Knowledge of and experience working in a detox centre and/or
* Experience working in a service delivering therapeutic
interventions to service users
