CLONDALKIN TRAVELLER DEVELOPMENT GROUP IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE
POST OF

CEO FOR CROSS BAR BIKES (4 DAY WEEK)

JOB DESCRISPTION:

The CEO of Crossbar Bikes will have the overall responsibility for the
planning, direction and overseeing operations of this social
enterprise. This facility will focus on the training and employment of
Travellers.

He/she will be employed by Clondalkin Traveller Development Group
(CTDG) and will be responsible for the day to day management,
promotion and development of the company. The ideal candidate will
have a proven track record of working in a social enterprise coupled
with experience and success in developing such a business, they will
ideally have experience of developing a business from the start-up
phase.

He/she will be a member of or have experience in working with people
from the Traveller Community and will possess an in-depth
understanding and appreciation of Traveller culture. The successful
candidate will work to deliver the key objectives and deliverables of
the project. This position is subject to funding.

The CEO will be answerable to a Steering Group?reporting to the Board
of CTDG

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out the
following activities:

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

_HUMAN RESOURCES AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT_

* The day to day management and coordination of Crossbar Bikes
* To lead the recruitment of staff in conjunction with the steering
group
* To manage, oversee and supervise all staff including those on
employment schemes and to support their continuing professional
development and access to training
* To develop a team approach to the work of Crossbar Bikes
* Identify capability gaps driven by a lack of self-confidence or
skill and work with the induvial to address these issues

_STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT_

* Develop close working relationships with all stakeholders, to
ensure that there is a suitable healthy environment for everyone
employed in the facility
* To grow and develop the project which will include identifying and
following up on leads for further growth including networking and
funding opportunities.
* To represent the organisation in a professional manner at all
times
* To foster good and effective working relationships with relevant
key agencies and services
* To contribute to policy development and planning concerning
Traveller Enterprise issues at local, regional and national level

_FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, FUNDING, & ADMINISTRATION_

* Develop and implement a business and marketing strategy in
conjunction with the steering group, with clear deliverables in place
and associated action plans
* To ensure that all financial systems are effective and robust and
that full and proper accounts are maintained in relation to all
aspects of the business
* To access additional funding for the development of key aspects of
the business
* To develop good working relationships with funders and local
organisations as appropriate
* To prepare reports, plans and budgets to be presented to the
steering group
* To ensure all legal agreement/ user agreements are kept up to date
* To Ensure that Crossbar Bikes policies & procedures are reviewed
regularly, are comprehensive and in line with good governance,
compliance and legislation
* To co-operate with the steering group to ensure that all aspects
of Company Law, Good Governance and compliance are implemented in the
business.

_SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT_

* Lead on the development of a sales and business development
strategy for Crossbar Bikes
* Generate brand awareness for Crossbar Bikes utilising a number of
different marketing and sales channels
* Ensure that all items produced are of the highest quality
* Oversee all marketing activity and ensure it fits with the
marketing strategy
* Manage the company?s social media accounts and posting relevant
content
* Report on activities towards targets to the Steering group
* Research potential Business and marketing opportunities and new
project development with particular reference Traveller culture, craft
and tradition.

_STRATEGIC PLANNING AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT_

* To work with the steering group to develop an achievable strategic
business and marketing plan with clear specific objectives and key
deliverables
* To be responsible for leading, implementing and monitoring of
targets and outcomes

_PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT_

* To be responsible for leading, implementing and monitoring the
workshop facility plan, targets and outcome
* Ensure an adequate supply of raw materials is always available
* Ensure that all products produced are of the highest quality
* Ensure that the workshop is managed and maintained to high
standards and to ensure that all health and safety protocols are
adhered to

_OTHER_

To complete any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as
determined by the Crossbar Bikes steering group or as the need arises.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING
REQUIREMENTS:

* Hold a 3rd level qualification in Business/Marketing (or similar
qualification of relevance) or have an exceptional proven track record
in the area
* A knowledge and understanding of the Traveller economy & work,
Social Enterprises, and Retail
* Be motivated, confident and skilled to deal with teams to build a
positive teamwork environment
* Have a track record of working with and supporting Travellers or
other minority groups
* Good IT skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and
strong word processing skills
* Knowledge of marketing and promotion including online platforms
* Excellent communication skills which include both verbal and
written skills
* Strong interpersonal skills ? competent to work effectively both
within a team structure and independently to take ownership of
designated tasks
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills and an ability to process
information and deal with challenges quickly and effectively
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise own work to meet
agreed objectives
* Reliable, dependable and flexible
* Ability to demonstrate passion, energy and a positive attitude
towards the work
* A commitment to work out of an anti-racist and equality work
perspective
* An understanding of Traveller issues and Cultural diversity

HOURS OF WORK: 4 days per week (**Apply on the website** hours)

PROBATION: A 6-month probationary period will apply
ANNUAL LEAVE: seventeen days per annum
