with autism including day and vocational opportunities, outreach
support and a variety of supported living options. Across our services

to develop a personalised plan of support.

obtain outcomes which are meaningful to them. Our committed
practitioners receive regular training and they are equipped with the
knowledge and skills to enable each individual to have positive and

Gheel Autism Services provides day opportunities across North and
South Dublin. This allows us to offer unique and personalised services
which are based on the choices, needs and aspirations of the
individual. Our Day Opportunity teams are in the process of working
towards a New Directions model of service delivery. This is to suit
the individual sensory and support needs of adults with autism. The
Day Opportunity Support team provide a tailored style of support in
local communities. Practitioners will support and promote the
development of independent living skills, education, employment
possibilities and social and leisure groups. Supports are delivered
across locations in North and South Dublin respectively. The
successful candidate will be required to work across all locations on
a roster basis.

The Day Supports Position A & B predominantly operate Monday to
Friday, but some weekend work may be required depending on the needs
of the people we support we - annual increments are included.

For Position C the successful candidate will be expected to work 5
days (**Apply on the website** hours) across Monday to Sunday. This
role will require flexibility in the days worked to facilitate the
needs of the person being supported.

D. SUPPORT WORKER ? DAY SERVICES ? PERMANENT (1.**APPLY ON THE

Support workers will in conjunction with the work of the Practitioners
assist in the development of independent living skills, education and
employment possibilities and social and leisure groups. The successful
candidate will be required to work across all locations on a roster
basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR SOCIAL CARE WORKER/ AUTISM PRACTITIONER
POST:

* Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by an Institute of
Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland.
* A relevant qualification received outside the State recognised by
NARIC as equivalent to the Irish Level 7 award or
* Relevant third level qualification at degree level i.e. social
work, psychology, and/or allied health or a Post-graduate
qualification in Autism Studies

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THIS POST:

* At least one-year recent experience in the social care/disability
sector
* Experience of supporting individuals with a diagnosis of ASD and
knowledge of Autism
* Ability to promote independence ? supporting others to learn how
? not doing it for them.
* An understanding of the New Directions Model of Service Delivery.
* Excellent communication skills.

SALARY SCALE:

Successful candidates will be paid in line with **Apply on the

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUPPORT WORKER POST:

* Fetac Level 5 or equivalent in social care
* Qualification in Health or Social Science

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE FOR SUPPORT WORKERS:

* At least one-year recent experience in the social care/disability
sector.
* Experience working with adults with autism.

SALARY SCALE:
