Position: Director of Care (Person in Charge) in Co. Meath

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cpl Healthcare in association with a private nursing home facility,
are looking to recruit a Director of Care (Person in Charge) based in
Co. Meath. The Director of Care (Person in Charge) will report
directly to the Registered Provider. The following staff report
directly to the Director of Care (Person in Charge)-
* Staff Nurses
* Health Care Assistants
* Activities Co-Ordinator
* Administrator

The Director of Care (Person in Charge) shall also oversee external
contracts through effective service legal agreements to manage
services at the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL-
* A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* A post registration management qualification in health or a
related field.

DESIRABLE-
* Post Graduate diploma in Gerontology.
* Post registration qualification in nursing people with dementia.
* Management qualifications.
* Gerontology experience.
* IT Skills.

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL-
* Minimum 3 years post graduate experience with a minimum of 2
years? experience in Care of the Older Person within the previous 6
years.
* Have not less than 3 years? experience in a management capacity
in the health and social area.

DESIRABLE-
* Have an in-depth knowledge of caring for the elderly.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF-
* HIQA legislation and standards.
* Nursing legislation.
* Medical legislation.
* Food Safety Acts.
* Data Protection Acts.
* Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Acts.
