Balbriggan Travellers Project: Administrator and Finance Officer
VACANCY: ADMINISTRATOR AND FINANCE OFFICER

BACKGROUND

Balbriggan Travellers Project (BTP) is an established independent
Traveller organisation based in Matt Lane Balbriggan. The organisation
works to promote the human rights of Travellers and address the racism
and discrimination they experience at local and national levels.? We
are recruiting an administrator and finance officer to support the
implementation of the Primary Health Care for Travellers Project
(PHCP) and support the organisational development of BTP in the Fingal
area. The administrator and finance officer will work with the
Coordinator, board of directors and Traveller PHCP team to promote and
practice Community Development values and principles and will support
the implementation of the annual operational plan. This post is funded
by the HSE through the Traveller Health Unit in the Eastern Region.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

* Experience of working with Travellers in a community development
setting;
* Knowledge of Traveller culture and ethnicity;
* Excellent budgeting and financial management skills;
* Excellent financial planning, consultation evaluation and decision
making skills;
* Significant financial experience with a project and / or an
organisation in a community development setting;
* Experience of writing funding applications and reporting on
progress;
* Knowledge and experience of good corporate governance and overall
compliance;
* Excellent communication and listening skills ? interpersonal,
verbal and written; and
* Competent financial and administration IT skills

rata).
