VACANCY - SAOLTA RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICER

Saolta is a Global Citizenship Education (GCE) strategic partnership
programme for the Adult and?Community Education sector in Ireland.
Development Perspectives is the lead partner in the consortium, which
also includes AONTAS, Concern Worldwide, Irish Rural Link and the
Adult and Community Education,?Maynooth University?The overall goal
of SAOLTA

SAOLTA strategic goal:
Increased accessibility, quality and effectiveness of development
education within the adult and community education sector.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Citizenship Education or Adult and Community Education.
* Strong written communication skills with a proven capacity in
conducting research independently.
* Hold a level 9 qualification in Education or Development related
discipline
* Capacity to work as part of a team.
* Illustrate interest in and commitment to the values of equality,
justice and sustainability.

MAIN DUTIES

* Coordinate and manage the research activities of the Saolta
programme.
* Create and present conference papers / complete articles for
journals.
* Support the monitoring and evaluation of the Saolta programme.
* Contribute to programme reports, funding applications, Board of
Management updates and Saolta steering group updates.
* Contribute to the promotion, organisation and delivery of Saolta
activities.

HOURS OF WORK: 7 hours per working day, **Apply on the website**.5
hours of work per working week, 9.**Apply on the website** am to
5.**Apply on the website** pm and Monday to Friday. From Jan **Apply
on the website**, this will increase to **Apply on the website** hours
per week. Occasional weekend or evening work.
LOCATION OF WORK: Development Perspectives is based in Drogheda (The
Mall, North Quay) Two-three days per week can be completed remotely.
SALARY: **Apply on the website**,**Apply on the website** (Pro Rata) -
?**Apply on the website**,**Apply on the website** (based on full
time hours) with an increase to **Apply on the website**,**Apply on
the website** in Jan **Apply on the website**. Annual increments are

Annum. Payable Monthly by credit transfer
PROBATION PERIOD:?6 months

possibility of extension (Pending agreement with Irish Aid).
