THE ROLE

The primary focus of the role is to support Cro??s Fundraising &
Community Engagement work programme. The role is based in the Cro?
Heart & Stroke Centre, Newcastle, Galway, but will also involve travel
in the region to support events (those organised by Cro? directly and
those organised by Community Groups/Volunteers) and engage with
volunteers and supporters. Flexible working arrangements, based around
programme delivery requirements, are available.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Represent and act as an ambassador of Cro?.
* Working with the Director of Fundraising, to oversee the
implementation and roll out of Cro? fundraising events and campaigns.
* Oversee community fundraising activities and roll out of Community
Fundraising & Events strategy for Cro?, including the development of
innovative and creative events and initiatives.
* Take responsibility for full Event Management for fundraising
events ? including all revenue generation and operational
considerations.
* To be the local point of contact in regard to Community
Engagement, donor support, Volunteer and relationship management.
* Ensure that all community fundraisers, volunteers and event
participants receive an excellent standard of customer care and feel
that their contribution is recognised, valued, and actively
acknowledged to encourage and develop long term relationships.
* To take responsibility for seeking out opportunities / leverage
opportunities for further development or growth in the campaigns and
events area in the West & Northwest region.
* To assist in driving targets across all activities. To monitor and
evaluate activities and make recommendations on execution, ROI and
response levels.
* Be the go-to person for all community fundraising related queries
internally for Cro? including supporting Finance & Communications
teams as needed.
* Lead the co-ordination of local fundraising volunteers and the
development and ongoing support of volunteer groups.
* To assist with post activity analysis and to make recommendations
for activities moving forward.
* To manage activity budgets as appropriate and to ensure all
activity falls within budget.
* Working with the Director of Fundraising and the Communications
Manager, to develop marketing materials to raise awareness of
activities as appropriate, to prepare donor newsletters, materials for
website, social media & PR
* Manage relationships with suppliers such as creative agencies and
printers etc.
* Liaise with campaign and event partners, supporters, sponsors as
appropriate.
* Handle enquiries, requests, donations and complaints from
supporters in a prompt, efficient and thoughtful manner, within agreed
timescales.
* General administration duties in relation to local fundraising
activities.
* To keep up to date and informed of current trends and competitor
activity.
* To have a strong working knowledge of the CRM system and ensure
that it is updated and maintained correctly. The successful candidate
will be required to undertake relevant training as required.
* Regular reporting as required.

REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 3 years? experience working in a similar environment
(Fundraising/ not for profit)
* Experience in the implementation and roll out of fundraising
events/campaigns, including budget management.
* Experience in promoting activities across various platforms.
* Experience in Community Engagement, working with Sponsors,
managing agencies and suppliers etc.
* Experience in Volunteer Programme management would be an
advantage.
* Flexibility in working hours is required. Donor events are held
occasionally during evenings or weekends and a time-in-lieu policy is
operated.
* Full Drivers Licence and access to your own car is required.

REMUNERATION

An attractive and competitive remuneration package commensurate with
experience is available for the right candidate. It is intended that
this will be a Full-Time position, initially be for a fixed term of 1
year, with scope to extend subject to performance
