POSITION:

The role of Clinical Lead Manager is suited to experienced
clinical/counselling/educational psychologists, social workers, mental
health nurses, psychotherapists and occupational therapists. The
successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and running
an exciting new service that aims to make a meaningful and valuable,
trauma-informed impact on the lives of children in care that reside
with Childhood Matters. In doing so it will involve delivering a high
level of clinical leadership and operational management to individual
teams working on a 1:1 basis with children in care.

The Clinical Lead Manager will be responsible for clinical and
regulatory governance alongside the CEO, with whom the Clinical
Manager will have a close working relationship to ensure a high
quality and forward-thinking delivery of the service. They will liaise
with partner agencies to endeavour to achieve positive outcomes for
children and professionals working with them to build or restore
stability in their lives and enhance key relationships in the
child?s family/support network, as well as promoting their
adjustment to difficult life circumstances.

The role will include offering specialist training and consultation to
colleagues and the wider team/system around the child, such social
workers and support workers supporting children in care. While it will
not involve direct therapeutic work/assessment with children,
relationship building with children using the service will be a key
part of the role. We are committed to embedding an evidence-based
culture of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practice and therefore
keen to assess the effectiveness of our service. As such, service
evaluation skills, and a service development mindset, will be an
integral part of the role.
