Praxis Care: Support Worker - Cavan Area

Praxis Care supports individuals with mental ill health, autism,
learning disabilities and dementia; providing innovative,
professional, high quality support services to people across the
spectrum of need and particularly at the higher level of complexity in
Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England and the Isle of
Man.

Praxis Care is currently experiencing exceptional growth and, as a
result, have the following vacancies within Intellectual Disability
Services:

SUPPORT WORKER
CAVAN AREA

Our Cavan service has been an established service in the local
community since **Apply on the website**, the aim of our house is to
ensure each service users is provided with the care and support
specific to them.

Every individual is offered and given the supports to enable
individual choice and independence around how they want and choose to
live. Activities and enabling this is a big part of what we as a
service endeavour to do daily. This can be through availing of local
amenities and community activities e.g. Art, music/singing, dancing,
Knitting club, local parks/forests, Arch Club, eating out, shopping,
cinema & reflexology and local library.

In order to support each person we require people with experience
working with people in a care environment and or Intellectual
disabilities.

This would entail been caring, compassionate, willing to learn & adapt
to surroundings. An ability to use your initiative, be calm and level
headed, patient and respectful of others. Be able to work as part of a
team. Supporting service users with their independence and ensuring a
safe environment, promoting & encouraging service users with everyday
tasks and achieving their desired outcomes and promoting inclusion in
their local community.
