_JOB DESCRIPTION_

_ROLE OF A.S.S.C. NATIONAL SERVICE COORDINATOR_

The post holder will undertake the Forensic & Court Advocacy phone
support service. The post holder will be responsible for contributing
to and implementing three-year strategic plan to provide court
accompaniment on a national basis.

The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of these
services. Which includes supporting the recruitment and training
processes of the Advocacy Support Phone volunteers. The post holder
will oversee the case management of the advocacy phone support.
Reporting to management and compiling monthly reports. The post holder
will also work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and following
Child Protection Policies and Procedures. They will be participating
in regular clinical supervision.

REPORTING TO:_ _Executive Director & Director of Services

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:_ _The Service Coordinator will work closely
with the Directors of A.S.S.C. and liaise with other A.S.S.C. staff
team and volunteer members.

This is a new fixed full-time role, which will advance with work
already in place.

_PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_

_RESPONSIBILITIES OF A.S.S.C. NATIONAL SERVICE COORDINATOR_

* Work alongside management for the implementation of expanding court
accompaniment services nationwide
* Provide advocacy phone support to families whose child has
attended SATU Dublin Unit for forensic/medical examination
* Work along side the A.S.S.C. Advocacy Worker within Barnahus,
Galway.
* Provide advocacy phone support to families attending court
* Oversee the coordinating of Dublin forensic accompaniment
referrals
* Organising Forensic & Court case management, with the Advocacy
Phone Support Workers
* Create and manage rota for Advocacy Support Workers
* Participate in the recruitment & training of volunteer staff when
required
* Develop and update Advocacy training manuals
* Provide oversight & coordination for Advocacy referrals for
forensic & court
* Provide oversight on court case management
* Oversee and provide support for the implementation of national
court accompaniment 3-year strategy plan.
* Report statistics & activity to management monthly for the
Directors Report
* Completing monthly reports
* Attend monthly clinical supervision
* Facilitate effective communication between volunteers, staff,
stakeholders and other professionals, agencies involved with A.S.S.C.
services

_PERSON SPECIFICATION _

_ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS_

Relevant & recognised third level qualification within the domain of
social care, youth work, psychology, psychotherapy, or any other
relevant area of study and at least 3 years proven experience of such
role, or of a similar role.
This role also demand travel on a national level.

* Worked or experience in supporting vulnerable families/children or
in similar field for a minimum of 3 years

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

* Experience in providing individual/group training
* Experience working/volunteering within the volunteer sector
* Previous experience managing people
* Previous experience within the judicial system
* Previous experience working within sexual assault treatment units
(SATU)
* Experience in compiling documents /policies
* Clean Driving License and access to a car

_TERMS & CONDITIONS_

LOCATION: A.S.S.C. Head Office (TBD). Hybrid remote working model will
be available.
TERMS OF CONTRACT: A fixed term contract for 2 years, subject to
funding
HOURS OF WORK: Monday ? Friday (**Apply on the website** hours a
week). Some occasional unsocial hours will be required and flagged
well in advance. Time in lieu system is in place.
RENUMERATION: Salary ?**Apply on the website**,**Apply on the
