JOB OPPORTUNITY AT FINGAL VOLUNTEER CENTRE

Fingal Volunteer Centre is the primary resource for both volunteers
and volunteer-involving organisations in County Fingal (North County
Dublin). We believe in the ethos of volunteering and that it is an
important expression of civic engagement. Our mission is to promote
the value of volunteering and increase the range and quality of
volunteering in county Fingal.

We are now recruiting for a Volunteer Engagement Officer on a
part-time contract to September **Apply on the website**, (**Apply on
the website** hours a week) to join our staff team to assist in the
delivery of our Outreach service and Community Volunteers project.
After an initial 6 months contract, there may be a possibility of
extending the contract on a monthly basis, subject to availability of
funding.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Volunteer Engagement Officer is responsible for delivering the
Outreach service virtually and across county Fingal and for recruiting
and managing volunteers at events with the Community Volunteers
project.

The post holder will play a key role in working collaboratively with
other team members to meet shared objectives in the areas of volunteer
recruitment, promotion of volunteering and volunteer management at
events (i.e., Community Volunteers).

KEY AREAS OF WORK WILL INCLUDE

* Recruit Community Volunteers, interview them and link with them
prior to events or emergency response
* Maintain a high standard on data entry and data management on
Salesforce both for Community Volunteers and general volunteers
registered on I-VOL (e.g., post Outreach sessions or Volunteer Expos)
* Events preparation in office: line yards, schedule, jackets and
hi-vis, goody bags preparation, and ad hoc duties
* Liaise with event partners prior to and during events
* Participate to all events and clean ups organised by the Fingal
Volunteer Centre as Community Volunteers coordinator
* Coordinate Community Volunteers in case of emergency response
roles
* Organise and lead the Outreach programme both virtually and in
person guaranteeing a presence all over county Fingal (e.g., linking
up with local libraries or community centres)
* Organise, promote and facilitate at least 1 volunteer expo
involving 4 volunteer involving organisations to show case their work
* Organise and facilitate information sessions with local community
groups as per workplan (e.g., migrants? community, elderly people,
disability groups and more)
* Promote the Fingal Volunteer Centre work on social media with
posts related to Community Volunteers, events and active volunteer
roles)
* Attend and participate in Placement Officers Forums, Community
Volunteers support groups and other possible working groups with
Volunteer Ireland and the rest of Volunteer Centres
* Organise, facilitate and represent the centre at volunteer events
and initiatives to promote volunteering across the community
* To work closely with the staff team to enhance the services of the
Centre and meet the targets set out in the work plan
