DOLPHIN HOUSE HOMEWORK CLUB, A PROGRAMME OF THE RIALTO YOUTH PROJECT,

YOUTH WORKER (**APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOUR PER WEEK CONTRACT)

Dolphin House Homework Club is a programme of Rialto Youth Project.
The Homework Club aims to foster the value of children and young
people to reach their full potential in their education through
various ways; supporting children to complete their homework daily,
providing a safe and welcoming space where children enjoy their time
and leave feeling happy and confident in their work. In addition, the
clubs seek to develop additional skills and talents of young people by
providing extra-curricular activities such as arts-based programmes.
Working in partnership, respect for staff, children and young people,
safety and an individual?s interests are valued. The clubs also seek
to strengthen links between the schools, children, families, and the
community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A REAL COMMITMENT TO THE ETHOS AND
VALUES OF THE PROJECT AND FIT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING THREE PROFILE
REQUIREMENTS:

* A professionally endorsed qualification in youth and community work
is essential + 2 years? experience of working with young people at
risk
or
* An equivalent professional qualification or degree + 2 years full
time experience of working with young people at risk
or
* Worked as a full-time youth worker without formal qualifications
for at least 3 years ? essential

The Community After School Youth Worker needs to be an excellent
communicator with good listening skills. They should have good time
management and ability to work both independently and as part of a
team. They should be strong motivation and a positive mindset. They
will report to the Homework Club Team Leader. Good planning skills
with a commitment to engagement and developing their practice.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:

* Developing positive relationships with children and young people
who attend the homework club.
* To plan and developing educational, social and arts programmes for
children and young people
* To work alongside the youth work team in the planning and delivery
of programmes
* To report on the work progress through supervision and team
meetings and on the information management system.
* To adhere to Rialto Youth Project policies and procedures
* To keep appropriate records (e.g. time sheets, annual leave
records) and to carry out reflective practices.

_The Community After School Youth Worker __is required to plan and
deliver programmes including programmes that occur during term time
and seasonal times when children are not in school including at times
weekends and evenings, Summer and Easter programmes._

LOCATION: Based in Dolphin House Homework Club, Dolphin House, Dublin
8
HOURS: **Apply on the website** hours per week
SALARY: The salary will be in-line with the CDYSB Youth Work Scale.
