YOUR NEW ROLE
As the new PIC you will be responsible for the development and
management of the services, with the support of an experienced service
management team and a multidisciplinary team. You will report to your
Regional Manager?and will be the nominated Person in Charge (PIC)
ensuring the provision of high quality, responsive and sustainable
services in accordance with HIQA standards and relevant legislation.
This is a pivotal role within the organisation and is a full-time,
permanent position.?You must demonstrate the capacity to lead and
develop services, underpinned by the principles of person centeredness
and quality to ensure each person you support achieves their optimum
potential.

Your new role, as Person in Charge, will involve a broad range of
managerial duties including, managing, and creating staff rosters, and
generating all other reports as required. As Manager, you will
initially be responsible for the smooth running the residential
services, ensuring all HIQA regulations and legislation are followed
accordingly.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
In order to succeed in your new role, you will have recent and
relevant management experience, creating rosters and managing staff.
You will have a Level 8 or Level 9 degree in Social Care or a related
field, and desirably a certificate in Management. In addition to this,
you will have demonstrated skills in leading a team, and excellent
time management skills.

* Degree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care/ RNID or
equivalent/similar.
* Hold or be willing to complete a post registration management
qualification in health or a related field.
* Not less than 3 years' experience in a management capacity in the
health and Social Care area.
* Level of knowledge and experience of dealing with HIQA.
* Experience of working in a care environment for adults and
children with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism.
* Knowledge of Children First, FOI, GDPR, Disability Act and other
legislation relevant to this role / knowledge of HIQA and other
standards as relevant to this role.
* Experience of and ability to manage resources including budget.
* Prior experience opening a new service is favourable and ability
to manage more than 1 service.
