Children & Family programmes in South County Dublin.

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION- HOMEWORK CLUB SUPPORT WORKER

Balgaddy Child & Family Centre seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and
committed Primary School Homework Club Support Worker. The Homework
Club is open to the Primary School children from 2.**Apply on the
website**pm to 4.**Apply on the website**pm Monday to Thursday during
school term time.

This is a part time position 6 hours per week. The Homework Club will
provide refreshments and engage children in a range of activities
after homework is complete. Tasks will include helping to set up the
room & clear it up afterwards, preparation of snacks, collection of
children from local school and supporting the children in doing their
homework and taking part in games/activities.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience of working with
this age group, be friendly, patient, and reliable. A childcare/youth
work/teaching qualification is desirable.

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION- TUTORS FOR **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** PROJECT
& KICK

SDCP seeks to appoint enthusiastic and committed tutors with the
following skills:

* Yoga
* Gymnastics
* Kickboxing Coaches ? (must be registered with KBI)

We offer after-school activities in various venues across Tallaght &
Clondalkin for young people aged 6yrs-**Apply on the website**yrs.
Activates typically run during after-school hours for **Apply on the
website** hours per week during the school term. All equipment is
provided. Additional training is provided for tutors in the KICK
(Kickboxing to Inspire & Challenge Kids) project.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TUTORS

Tutors appointed will have a good knowledge and understanding of the
ethos of childhood, adult, youth, and community education. They will
be required to fulfil the following duties under the overall direction
of the South Dublin County Partnership strategic objectives and in
accordance with South Dublin County Partnership?s annual plan:

* Plan, develop, deliver, and assess programmes that are responsive
to the needs and interests of children, young people;

* Communicate and report regularly to the programme managers or staff
on planning and outcomes;
* Source and develop appropriate materials for use with children,
young people , adult learners and groups;
* Monitor and report on the attendance and progress of children,
young people, adult learners, and groups;
* Maintain appropriate records as required by the programme;
* Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training as
required;
* Contribute to the development of an appropriate child, young
person and adult learning environment;

Ideally, individuals would display a range of skills and experience in
their chosen area of expertise and display a strong track record of
developing and delivering training within a framework of best
youth/adult education & community development practice. Applicants are
especially welcome from individuals who have experience of working
with groups and communities representatives from marginalised and
disadvantaged communities. A positive, enthusiastic, and fun attitude
is most important! A passion for working with young people. Also, to
be willing to work as part of a team and good communication skills.

The successful applicants will be expected to undergo Garda vetting
and are contracted on a self-employed basis. Successful candidates
will be matched to learning programmes on a short or medium term basis
after an interview process and will be called upon as programmes
arise.
