is seeking to appoint to our _Family Matters _Team

PARENTING PROJECT OFFICER

(PERMANENT)

A Parenting Project Officer is required to coordinate and deliver an
agreed work plan, in support of parents and children experiencing
marginalisation in the Dublin **Apply on the website** area.

The worker will support parents with their engagement, capacity
building and leadership; with the ultimate aim of enhancing baby and
toddler early years development, socialisation and learning up to
their school going age. The worker will be part of a dynamic _Family
Matters _Team, which is composed of Speech and Language Therapists,
Early Years and Education workers and Home Visitors.

THE AREA BASED CHILDHOOD (ABC) - FAMILY MATTERS
_Family Matters _focuses on improving education, health and wellbeing
and social outcomes for children in the Ballyfermot area - supporting
parents in supporting their children reach their potential. The ABC
_Family Matters _initiative is a dynamic interagency response to the
needs of children, parents, and families in the Ballyfermot area.

THE SUCCESSFULLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

* ? Knowledge and understanding of children?s **Apply on the
website** years developmental milestones
* ? Experience in working directly with parents and their children
aged **Apply on the website** years
* ? Experience of coordinating and delivering evidence informed /
based parenting programmes
* ? Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on
own initiative
* ? Qualification to at least QQI Level 7 in for example,
Education, Social Sciences, Health Sciences or any other relevant
field
* ? Minimum of 2 years? experience of working in a relevant
professional field.
