LEITRIM VOLUNTEER CENTRE IS SEEKING A TRAINER / FACILITATOR:

To assist with the Development and implementation of a Leadership and
Capacity Building Programme.

LOCATION: Ballinamore, Co Leitrim.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Leitrim Volunteer Centre propose to develop and implement a Leadership
and Capacity Building Training based on the premise that all of us
have the potential to lead within our own sphere of influence, thus
promoting communities that promote and support diversity and respects
the dignity of every group and individual. This transformational
leadership programme offers opportunities to in Co. Leitrim to explore
their own capacity to lead and to advocate for themselves as well as
others who are marginalised within the county thus enabling
individuals and groups to build better and more inclusive communities.

Local people, people from the New Communities members of the Traveller
Community, members of the LGBTQ+ community will make up the core of
the participants.

Participants will learn the skills to step up to their own leadership.
Everyone will be enabled to contribute. Good facilitation will enable
everyone to understand and believe that each one has something
powerful to contribute, and that their contribution is vital to
success of the group. The more diverse the effort, the better.
Participants will learn the importance of taking risks. When everyone
is empowered to lead, we can seize opportunities and act decisively
even in the absence of certainty.

Through this training Leitrim VC will be promoting the participation
of all ages to their full potential. It will promote engagement in
social, cultural, community development, and foster better solidarity
for all. Emphasis will be placed on building a group that will respect
equality of participation everyone. The Facilitator will encourage a
strong bond amongst the members and as a group they will be empowered
to identify the needs and issues that affect them.

The course will run on a weekly basis from **Apply on the

INTERESTED TENDERS WILL PROVIDE:

* Process/ timetable listing key milestones.
* Methodology to be used
* Detailed budget
* At least 3 examples of leading previous similar projects.
* Referee: contact details must be supplied for two referees, that
LVC can contact who have engaged the proposed Trainer/Facilitator
similar/related work.
* Late proposals will not be considered.
* All supporting material and documentation should be included in
the proposal.
