THE GREAT CARE CO-OP (GCC) is Ireland's first care workers
cooperative. We are a not for profit social enterprise set up and led
by migrant women, in a start-up phase of its work.

carers. We empower carers to work collectively to improve employment
in home care and to provide better care to the people we work to
support them to flourish.

THE SUPPORT WORKER for The Great Care Co-op will coordinate training
projects being delivered as part of the European Social Fund?s
?Building Better Futures: Building Social Enterprise with Migrant
Women? project. The Great Care Co-op is delivering a QQI level 5
award in Healthcare Supports for migrant women and a Migrant Women?s
Entrepreneurship training programme in partnership with the DCU Ryan
Academy. Your role as support worker is to coordinate the delivery of
this project and to support the participants of migrant women on their
learning journey.

We are looking for someone who feels strongly about migrant rights and
equality, someone with experience working with migrant women to bring
about positive change, someone who shares our vision for investing in
migrant women?s education and training, and someone who believes in
the power of working collectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Coordinate the successful running of the QQI level 5 Health Care
Supports and the Migrant Women?s Entrepreneurship training
programmes for migrant women, this includes advertising, recruiting,
interviewing and inducting learners
* Liaise with participants and provide one to one support where
needed.
* Engage with migrant community organisations and other stakeholders
for referrals to the course
* Maintain communication with course facilitators and keep records
of attendance
* Coordinate the end of course showcase event with facilitators and
students
* Complete project survey with students at end of project and
compile a learning report
* Act as liaison person between GCC and QQI course students, recruit
potential carers into the GCC upon completion of QQI course.
* Create content and keep GCC social media channels updated
* Input data in compliance with funder requirements and GDPR
* Engage in networking activities and support the development of
external strategic relationships
* Prepare reports and written materials relevant to the work of GCC
for funders

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

* Experience working in care setting (desirable)
* Facilitation skills
* Experience coordinating events and training
* Experience working with migrant women or other marginalised groups
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work well under
pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptable work
approaches
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Social Media skills
* Excellent communication skills ? written and oral
* Commitment to social justice, anti-racism and equality
* Ability to work comfortably with word, excel, Gsuite, & Zoom
