We currently have exciting opportunities to join our team based in Dublin to work as part of our Test & Verification team for the TeraVM product. TeraVM is a fully virtualized (on multiple hypervisors), highly scalable application for testing multi-service IP networks. It determines the key quality and performance limitations associated with the deployment of next generation voice, video and data applications and helps the world’s largest companies develop and deploy associated services with confidence.
Java Software Developer
As a part of Cobham’s Wireless Business Unit based in Dublin, we are looking a Java Software Developer work as a member of the TeraVM Java development team.

As a Java Software Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• 3 plus years plus experience in Full Stack (Front-end/Back-end) Java Development working in an Agile environment
• Solid knowledge on Hibernate, Spring frameworks
• Solid understanding of Swing and Java UI Development
• Excellent experience in prototyping and/or wireframe design
• Solid knowledge of design patterns
• Agile experience

Desirable:
• Experience with development tools such as Netbeans, SVN, Eclipse and Ant
• HTML5 and CSS5, Javascript, AngularJS
• Basic knowledge of PHP
• PERL and BASH scripting knowledge highly valuable
• Oracle Java Certification a distinct advantage
• Experience and knowledge of IP-based networking problems a bonus

As a Java Software Developer your main responsibilities will involve:
• Full participation in the development life cycle for new features, from specification writing, to design, implementation and testing, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards
• Working with Product Management to ensure customer requirements are adequately captured and understood
• Communicate and present UX deliverables (wireframes, workflows, prototypes, etc.) to key stake holders
• Delivering new features to the product from design through to development and testing, prototyping where necessary.
• Working with peers and Senior Developers to deliver improvements to the core product and to integrate new technologies where appropriate
• Working effectively with the Test & Verification team to resolve issues
