Project Manager/Highway
Position: ?Project Manager (Highway)
Chartered Engineer required to join a one of Irelands leading
Consultancy .
This role can be based in Dublin or Cork - Remote Hybrid model
available

_YOU WILL_ provide a major contribution in the successful delivery of
safe, quality, sustainable and innovative highway design solutions for
their clients.

_YOU WILL_ work on a broad cross section of highway infrastructure
projects across several markets, including some of the most
prestigious projects across Ireland and the UK.

_YOU WILL_ play a leading role in the design and assessment of highway
projects within multidisciplinary design teams and who will take
appropriate responsibility for the delivery and quality of the highway
design elements.
What your core duties & responsibilities will be:
?
* Provide technical leadership to the highway team.
?
* Mentor your team so that they can achieve the required blend of
skills and a culture of continuous improvement.
?
* Ensure that H&S is considered as an integral part of any design and
construction solution.
?
* Business Development:
Input into the preparation of PQQ&#**Apply on the website**;s &
Tenders as required.
?
* Project Delivery: act as technical discipline team leader, directing
the team, liaising with project managers and ensuring effective
management and technical accuracy of the team.
?
* Financial/Commercial Management:
Contribute to budgets for packages of work on a monthly basis and work
with management team on operational issues to achieve strategy
objectives and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and
financial management of projects.
Personal Attributes required:

* Passionate and enthusiastic about highway infrastructure and highway
design
?
* Good problem solving / contingency planning skills with the ability
to find innovative, practical and safe solutions to engineering
challenges
?
* Ability to recognise, promote and apply innovation at a project
level
?
* Ability to lead and direct people with excellent People Management
skills
?
* Good communication and team working skills
?
* Highly effective oral and written communication skills
?
* Demonstrate pride in work through accurate timely delivery
?
* Well-developed personal organisation, planning and prioritisation
skills
What skills, knowledge and experience are required:
?
* Strong experience of 3D design software (e.g. Bentley MXROAD) and a
sound understanding in the design process for BIM
?
* Relevant post qualification with highway industry experience and a
successful record of project delivery in highway design from
conception through to construction
?
* Significant previous experience of highway design on transportation
infrastructure projects particularly whilst working within a
multidisciplinary design team
?
* Proven ability in leadership and motivation of individuals and teams
?
* Fully conversant with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and
the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works
?
* Strong experience of CAD software packages (e.g. AutoCAD or
Microstation)
?
* A good all-round understanding of quality management systems and
processes, financial project management systems, business and
commercial issues
?
* Delivery of local authority and major highways design project
?
* Experience in the use of Micro

Drainage WinDes (or similar drainage design software
?
* Experience in the use of Autodesk Civils 3D,
?
* A good all-round understanding of quality management systems and
processes, financial project management systems, business and
commercial issue
?
* Experience in development of BIM workflows for delivery of 3D models

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Recognised degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng etc.)
?
* Professional qualification with a relevant professional body, for
example Engineers Ireland or the Chartered Institute of Highways and
