Responsibilities:
• Design and create test cases and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Work within an Agile environment, using JIRA.
• Interact with product management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases.
• Maintain and expand existing testing documentation (test plans, test cases/scripts, defect reports, etc.) for product and solutions.
• Execute manual and automated testing.
• Analyse test results.
• Participate in troubleshooting of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Maintaining test environments, where testing can be carried out.
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Support production deployment of applications.
• Participate in demonstrations internally within engineering and externally to the organization.
• Quickly gain product knowledge and become a product expert.
• Conduct ad-hoc or exploratory testing with limited documentation.
• Testing with smart phones.
• Participate in Story Estimation and acceptance criteria.
• Continually look to improve the QA process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or relevant experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience in QA with at least 1 year in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC.
• Experience in testing dynamic web sites /applications.
• A strong ability to understand intricate systems in order to devise complete and astute test scenarios is key to this role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Database skills within MySQL environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and must be detail oriented.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• Ability to adapt to test processes and improve these where necessary.
• Have the perseverance to gain knowledge and become an expert in a short period of time.
• Knowledge of cross browser testing/ issues.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience of automated web application test tools an advantage.
• Experience of sports betting terms and methods a distinct advantage.
• ISEB Certification.
• Experience in testing native mobile applications.
