The National Association of Housing for Visually Impaired (NAHVI) was
formed to address the long-term needs of young people with a visual
impairment who may also have an additional disability e.g. learning,
hearing or physical and have complex needs as a result of social,
cultural, economic or emotional factors.

We have exciting opportunities at NAHVI service, where we support
people in Donabate. We are currently looking for a:

RELIEF SUPPORT WORKER

Hours allocated on an as and when required basis

_Flexibility is key as shifts may include day, evening, weekend or
sleepover shifts. The exact shift pattern will be discussed in more
detail at interview._

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing service; you will
be supporting adults with a visual impairment and an additional
disability in their home, helping to achieve their dreams. At times
you may have to support individuals with behaviours that challenge,
but you will get the training and support you need to do so.

SHORTLISTING CRITERIA?

* Experience (paid or unpaid) providing care or support for someone*
* Full valid driving license in order to meet the requirements to
drive service or mobility cars**

* This does not need to be formal experience and is not limited to
experience supporting someone with a learning disability. This
criteria is met if the applicant can demonstrate experience such as
caring or supporting a child, family member or friend, volunteering or
completing a work placement which included care or support.
