CO-OPERATIVE HOUSING IRELAND

Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national organisation
representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in

as providing a network of childcare services in our communities.

professional high-quality early learning and school-aged childcare

partnership with parents, carers, and children to provide a secure
environment through the provision of an integrated, balanced,
stimulating and differentiated curriculum.

1. ROLES

CHI is seeking:

1 x Part-Time ?School-Aged Practitioner? to work **Apply on the
website** Hours per week, Monday ? Friday, on a Fixed-Term basis,
for **Apply on the website** Months in its St. Finians Childcare
Service, Lucan.

2 x Part-Time ?Access & Inclusion Model Practitioners? to work
**Apply on the website** Hours per week, **Apply on the

website**:**Apply on the website**pm, Monday ? Friday, on a
Fixed-Term basis until the 1st of July **Apply on the website**, in
its Island Key Childcare Service, East Wall.

2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Working as a member of the childcare team in the provision of child
centred programmes for children.
* Communicating with parents and other caregivers regarding
children?s activities.
* Participating in the planning, implementation, documentation, and
review of the services programmes within the Aistear & Siolta
programmes.
* Demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work on own
initiative.
* Ensuring all childcare policies and procedures are implemented.
* Recording development and progression milestones of the children.
* Maintaining advanced hygiene standards as per regulations.
* Participating in training and workshops.
* Attending team meetings as arranged by Childcare Service Manager.
* Any other duties within the general requirements of the above that
may be assigned by the Childcare Service Manager from time to time as
appropriate to the position.

3. REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum QQI Level 5/6/7 qualification in Early Year
Education/School-Aged Childcare.
* At least 1 years? paid experience of working in community early
years? service setting.
* Knowledge and experience of working within the Aistear, Siolta and
STEAM programmes.
* A commitment to creating a quality and inclusive child-centred
environment for early years learning and continuous professional
development.
* Flexibility in approach to tasks and an appreciation of the
importance of teamwork.
* Understanding, compassion and warmth.

4. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

SALARY
The salary for these posts will depend on an applicant?s
qualifications and experience.

TRAVEL & SUBSISTENCE
Travel and subsistence will be paid at public sector rates.

ANNUAL LEAVE
Annual leave will be **Apply on the website** days exclusive of public
holidays.

DURATION OF CONTRACTS
The contract for the School-Aged Childcare Practitioner post is for 1
year with a 6-month probationary period. The contracts for the Access
& Inclusion Model posts are up until the 1st of July **Apply on the

PENSION
Co-operative Housing Ireland offers a pension plan. Employees have
access to the scheme on successful completion of their six-month
probationary period.

GARDA VETTING
All posts are subject to Garda Vetting.
