Network Systems Engineer
THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Network Systems Engineer will be joining one of Dublin?s leading

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Engineer will be working on a variety of prestigious programmes
and projects both exciting and challenging relating to Transport,
mainly in Smart Mobility, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems)
communication networks, data analysis, and related activities, across
the full delivery lifecycle in Ireland.

Knowledge & Skillset

REQUIRED:

Excellent standards in the use of MS Office Applications, MS Excel in
particular advanced knowledge of ITS equipment (Smart Mobility) such
as: ?
* Data network architecture maintenance ?
* Working on all network media types, Fibre optic, Cellular, LANs,
WANs, Wireless links, PSTN, Serial communications (RS**Apply on the
website**, RS**Apply on the website**) ?
* Traffic monitoring equipment, traffic detection loops, ANPR cameras,
Cross fire radars, Bluetooth detection ?
* Cellular intercom systems, Emergency Roadside Telephones ?
* CCTV networks transmitted over multiple media types, Coax, Twisted
pair, Fibre Optic ?
* Variable Message Signs ?
* Renewable energy powered electronic equipment (solar, wind, and
battery) ?
* Analytic systems ?
* cloud computing & Linux Operating System knowledge ?
* Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment

Along with
- * National Craft Certificate Electrical or equivalent ?
* A strong up to date IT skill set with the ability to on various
operating systems ?
* Fluent in English ?
* Knowledge and experience of maintenance planning and scheduling ?
* Ability to lead/supervise a small team of Technicians ?
* Excellent fault finding / fault analysis skills ?
* Safe Pass, CSCS SL&G Roadworks, MEWP ?
* Organised, trustworthy, self-motivated, with initiative and
problem-solving skills ?
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of
report writing ?
* Customer focused with demonstrable commercial awareness ?
* The ability to work at heights ?
* Full clean driving license.
