EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROJECT OFFICER

(FULL-TIME, FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

THE POSITION: Meath Partnership is seeking applications for the
position of Youth Engagement Project Officer. This is a full-time
position within the Company. The Project Officer will be central to
the delivery of the work of Meath Partnership's Education and Training
Centre.

We are seeking an ambitious and driven professional who will embrace
and make the most of the excellent opportunities that exist within
Meath Partnership's education and training programmes to support
social inclusion and employability within the county of Meath. The
successful candidate will be joining a busy, challenging yet very
rewarding work environment.

The contract is for an initial 2-year (**Apply on the website**-month)
period; with the strong probability of an extension subject to
continued funding. The position is subject to a six-month performance
appraisal. Ideally, the successful applicant will be in a position to

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting to the Senior Education and Training
Manager and CEO, the Youth Engagement Project Officer will be
responsible for:

* Research and Resource Development

* Design and implementation of research design frameworks
* Undertake necessary desk-based and field-based research, and to
complete the reporting requirements accordingly
* Develop, acquire and upload content on e-learning and web
platforms
* Coordinate the curriculum and training development components of
projects
* Proofreading English language versions of documents
* Keep up to date with policy regarding NEETs/Youth in Ireland and
across the EU

* Delivery of Training

* Recruitment of NEETs to engage in training across the county of
Meath
* Coordinate and deliver both Online and Offline training as part of
outreach and development
* Conduct monitoring and evaluation of all training delivered

* Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with key
stakeholders, local focus groups and learners
* Maintaining professional working relationships with partner
organisations
* Host regular advisory group meetings with key stakeholders

* Social Media and Communications

* Using social media to promote and communicate projects to the wider
public
* Creation of videos, press releases and newsletters for projects
being undertaken
* Regular updating of project social media channels

* Representation at meetings and events

* Regular attendance at project meetings (will require overseas
travel)
* Regular attendance at working group meetings
* Represent Meath Partnership at both national and international
conferences/events

* Monitoring and Evaluation

* Continued contribution to the M&E of all projects

The post-holder is expected to be flexible in the performance of
his/her duties. The above duties are not exhaustive and may be
reviewed by the CEO at any time.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

1 x full-time position is available working **Apply on the website**
hours per week. The nature of the work may on occasion require working
unsocial hours i.e. evenings and weekend and access to own transport
is essential for all positions given the outreach nature of the posts
on offer. This position is subject to Garda Vetting in line with Meath
Partnership policy.

DURATION: Specified purpose contract subject to continued provision of
project funding. A six- month probationary period applies.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING:

Education Qualifications and Attainments

* A recognised third level qualification in Community Development/
Youth Work/ Applied Social Care
* At least 2 years? experience working with young people in an
educational context and employment context

Essential Knowledge and Experience

* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with young
people in the effective delivery of youth initiatives
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
with an excellent command of English
* Excellent organisational skills with experience of working in a
fast-paced social inclusion environment and to project deadlines
* Ability to work on own initiative and to organise and deliver on
detailed work-plans

Desirable Skills, Abilities and Experience

* Excellent report writing and presentation skills
* Experience of recruiting target group (NEETs) to educational
programmes
* Programme design experience
* Experience facilitating learner led programmes with young people
* Knowledge of other agencies providing services to young people in
Meath
* Access to a car and full driving license
* Experience Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Canva
* Experience in event management, communications and public
relations

LEAVE: The annual leave entitlement is twenty-five (**Apply on the
website**) days per annum, pro-rata for shorter periods. Entitlement
to leave for Public Holidays is in accordance with the terms of the

Partnership closes for five (5) days at Christmas; this time is
included in the annual leave entitlement detailed above.
