_THE NORTH EAST INNER CITY INITIATIVE (NEIC) AND YOUNG PEOPLE AT RISK
NETWORK (YPAR) INVITES SUBMISSIONS FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED AND
EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS TO PRODUCE A COMPREHENSIVE AND COSTED
RESEARCH PROPOSAL TO ASSESS CURRENT AND EMERGING UNMET NEEDS OF EARLY
YEARS (PRENATAL ? 5 YEARS) SERVICES IN DUBLIN NORTH EAST INNER CITY
(NEIC) DUBLIN.__ THIS RESEARCH IS BEING FUNDED BY THE NEIC PROGRAMME
IMPLEMENTATION BOARD._

OVERALL PURPOSE

The research purpose is to scope the current services and supports to
children and their parents/carers (antenatal to 5 years) in Dublin?s
North East Inner City and carry out a comprehensive analysis of the
demand and supply, its current resource needs, and service capacity
deficiencies.

On the basis of this analysis, the research will identify gaps and
opportunities to enhance services and supports to children and their
parents/carers within the NEIC area.

The ultimate aim will be to propose a sustainable wrap around model of
early years/childhood services and supports that can be flexible and
tailored to address the needs of all children and families in the
area, including those with additional or special needs. This model
will build on, existing policies and provision for **Apply on the

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The Project and associated process will be overseen and managed by
YPAR interagency **Apply on the website** early years Research
Steering Committee, with representation from DCEDIY and with the
support of the NEIC Programme Office. This group will be responsible
for the tendering process and overseeing the management of the
research. The Project successful Tenderer will report on a regular
basis to the Steering Committee. It is envisaged that the successful
Tenderer / Agency will appoint a dedicated Project Facilitator to work
on the project. Should an alternative Project Facilitator be assigned
during the lifetime of the project, this will be agreed in advance
with the Steering Committee of the Project.
