Junior EHS Co-ordinator Amgen - Dublin

Our Client is Amgen and the role will be based in their Dun Laoghaire plant. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.
Job Description
This important role will focus not only on providing effective co-ordination support to the EHS department but requires active participation in the maintenance and development of key EHS programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify training needs, organise and co-ordinate training courses and prepare and deliver training material where appropriate.
Facilitate functional safety team meetings.
Co-ordinate management of the risk assessment program.
Production of monthly management cascade communications, site bulletins and functional performance board metrics.
Handle enquiries from all internal stakeholders on EHS issues.
Facilitate department & stakeholder meetings.
Co-ordinate & participate in the internal self inspection program.
Prepare & publish updates on the requirements of Irish/EU legislation and corporate standards.
Manage the incident/near miss reporting program, track & publish metrics, issue regular communications and promote participation.
Co-ordinate the ergonomic assessment program.
Liaise with external service providers.
Manage financial administration for the department (purchase orders, invoicing etc.)
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Occupational Health & Safety with two/three years relevant experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Planning & organisation
Using good judgement
Communicating and presenting effectively
Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, WORD, Powerpoint & Excel
Being methodical and attentive to detail
Proficient and self-assured
Being tolerant and respectful
Personal accountability to see issues through to completion
Proactive/solution orientated approach
Package:
Contract rate 15 - 20 euro per hour
Minimum Contract duration: 6 months
37.5 hours per week, but flexibility is essential
