B&B OUTREACH SUPPORT WORKER ? FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Applications are sought for _B&B OUTREACH SUPPORT WORKER _with Good
Shepherd Cork working with women, children and families who are or
have experienced homelessness.
A fixed term vacancy has arisen in the B&B Outreach Team working
across Cork County to assist our clients to move on from homeless
services.
This vacancy will be offered on a **Apply on the website** month fixed
term contract, subject to funding. The position involves working
**Apply on the website**.5 hours per week, Wednesday ? Friday, and
may involve unsociable hours.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A professional social care, social work or other relevant third
level qualification
* Experience working in social care environment
* Experience working within homeless services
* Possess a full driver?s licence and have access to their own
transport.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
_Reporting to the B&B Outreach Team Leader the candidate will:_
* Possess the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to
establish trusting relationships with vulnerable clients and encourage
engagement with the service.
* Work as part of a small dynamic team in providing client-centred
emotional and practical support.
* Manage and prioritise own caseload and work with flexibility and
initiative.
* Keep accurate and concise records of all client contact on both
GSC Connect and PASS system.
* Implement all organisational policies & procedures including
health & safety and child protection guidelines.
